A Message from the Department Chair

Welcome to the CCIS programs. This year we are receiving an unprecedented number of students entering the CCIS programs. We welcome all students joining us this academic year.

The CCIS offers 3 programs, Software Engineering, Computer Science and Information Systems. Tracks offer specialization within the programs, you may decide to join a track based on your preferences and future directions, or simply continue the degree program. Contact your academic advisor for consultation on CCIS programs and its tracks.

At PSU, CCIS students together with academics and staff, boast a healthy, creative and engaging environment for teaching and learning. During these testing times due to COVID-19, most courses taught in the fall semester 2020/2021 will be online. As we greatly miss the student presence on campus due to social distancing norms and requirements, it must be understood that health and safety for all is of utmost importance. Nevertheless, Inshallah we will be back soon and will be engaging in very many on-campus learning activities while maintaining the social distancing requirements.

Dr. Basit Qureshi, Chair Department of Computer Science.
